Identity

I do not want to be a prisoner of my own personality,

of the identity fashioned by my ego's needs.

I want to uncover and cherish and nurture

that tiny spark of light

that essence

that grace that transforms

what I see, hear, taste, touch, and smell

into experience.

That something with no gender or form-

never missing, just overlooked

neither young nor old

yet always, always somehow here-

growing but not changing

looking around...savoring...absorbing...unfolding.

That authentic Being

                        ...infinite Mystery

                                             ...eternal Wholeness.
